Discover Stirling’s Legendary History

As you make your way from the station towards Stirling Castle, you’ll pass through some of the most fascinating streets in Scotland.

At the top of King Street sits The Atheneum, home to a statue of Scottish hero William Wallace. It’s a great spot to stop, take in the architecture and appreciate Stirling’s deep connection to Scotland’s national story.

It was even voted Scotland’s Venue of the Year at the Scots Trad Music Awards, making it a must-visit for music lovers and culture seekers.

A couple of minutes further uphill stands the beautiful Church of the Holy Rude, one of Scotland’s most important historic churches. It was here that James VI and I, son of Mary, Queen of Scots, was crowned King of Scots in 1567.

Visit the Iconic Stirling Castle

Perched high above the city, the castle is one of Scotland’s grandest and most historically significant landmarks. Once home to Scottish kings and queens, including Mary, Queen of Scots, the castle offers spectacular views across the surrounding countryside.
