Boarding a Lumo service

Please be aware, at London King’s Cross and Edinburgh Waverley stations:

  • Boarding will commence at least 15 minutes before the train is due to depart.
  • Station customer information screens will update with platform numbers 15 mins before departure.
  • Final call announcements will be made 5 minutes before each service is due to depart.
  • For safety reasons, operator services and platform numbers will be removed from screens 3 minutes before all train departures.

Please remember that train doors will close 1 minute before the advertised departure time, a barrier strap may also be used at some stations to restrict platform entry.

For safety reasons, arriving after this time may mean boarding is denied enabling the drivers to safely dispatch the train service at its advertised time. We recommend arriving at the station at least 20 minutes before your scheduled departure time, please only use the station concourse platform information screens, as some 3rd party Apps display the planned rather than actual platforms.
